Thanks for all the compliments on my cab Sorry I haven't replied sooner but I have had visitors and not been able to get any "computer time".... I've just got home from work and there's no-one here (the pub is my guess!) so I figured I'd catc...
This "Mystic" agate is from the Blue Sky Mine. Even more beautiful in person Double sided cab.. Domed on both sides. 40 x 28 x 7 and 13.30 grams It's a beauty !
PLEASE NOTE ! These are not perfect. The surfaces have some slight rippling effect. Just had a bit of a time with them. So, although they will still make some nice earrings am letting them go for the 8.00. Just not quite up to par. Each of the larger teardrop stones are 29 x 14 x 3 with combined weight of all four stones at 7.0 grams The tear drops were intentionally designed to not be perfect tear drop shapes. They are slightly offset and matching.
43 x 29 x 6 and 17.40 grams Slightly domed with rounded edges Had a bit of a time getting a picture as the Hematite flashed back at me ! Even nicer in person ..
Center Piece is 30 x 25 x 5 Both outside pieces are also 30 x 25 x 5 from the longest points Combined weight of all three stones is 21.0 grams Very slightly domed with rounded edges Could orientate the stones a variety of different positions for different necklace layout. The real small little streaks in the picture are odd as I can't see what the camera is picking up for some reason. I have no idea why they are there in the image... Likely caused by mineral/grain reflection. Makes it look like there are some kind of imperfections, but their are none.. Really nice set .... The Morrisonite story begins in early spring 1947. A Boise rock shop owner, Dudley Stewart, was prospecting in the Owyhee Breaks in Southeast corner of Oregon. While scouting, he came upon an small thin older gentleman living like a hermit in a stone, one room house along the Owyhee River. Learn more about this mineral. Unlike the other Labradorite sets on the site, this particular area of the material was a bit porous. So the polishing/finish is not perfect.. A little porous. Since they are still really nice I believe someone will be able to use the set. The set is discounted from 30.00 to 15.00 The center stone is 25 x 17 x 4 and the combined weight of all three stones is 9.80 grams Almost flat with slightly smoothed edges
